I woke up in a grumpy mood today and I am not sure why. I just can't seem to shake it. I am normally a cheery patient person but not today! Maybe my pregnancy hormones are finally catching up to me. I am feeling tired and rushed all of a sudden, like everything needs to get ready right now and I have no time or energy to do it.

Then I cried while I was driving this morning because I felt like I was squishing the baby while I was sitting in the car. I have clearly lost my rational mind.

I have a list a mile long of things that I want to get done today but I am thinking I might just lay down on the couch right here....

I hate when I have an attack of preggo hormones : /

We had a tree come down today. It hit the house, scared the crap out of me. I could not figure out what the heck the noise was. We were VERY lucky. It did not do any damage. It fell between a few windows leaning on the roof and totally missed my car. I was supposed to hit up the grocery and we had swim class, instead we stayed home ; )

I keep thinking I need to get a siggie. Want to play around with one for me?? I've got a wicked cute picture of my kids wearing their Big Brother/Sister shirts... Honestly, say NO if you have zero interest/are too busy. You will NOT hurt my feelings

I would've layed down. I hate it when my hormones get the best of me.

Glad it missed everything!

I wouldn't mind doing something for you but I'm just now learning, so give me a little bit.

My cough seems to be getting better, finally. Still lingering, but much better. Thank goodness!

Good! It was really kicking your tail wasn't it?

So I had 12 hours worth of contractions yesterday. Never more than 3 an hour, but they were lasting 45-75 seconds a piece and extremely uncomfortable. Then, of course, they went away. However, today I feel like someone took a sand blaster to that area...oooooouch. And yesterday had incredible pressure down there by the end of the day.

All I'm sayin' is...that better have accomplished something!

Yes...it was pretty miserable.

And here's hoping for progress! I am definitely feeling more pressure, more contractions, and it feels like everything is starting to relax and separate in the ol' pelvic area. I'm not having any sort of regular contractions, but they're definitely getting stronger.

Just found out something weird, that makes me wonder about the low platelets. My mom had the same issue with me, and continues to have that issue too. She has something called (I think) ITP. See..now I must research and see if that's hereditary and what the heck it means.

I am having one heck of a day. Last night we lost one of the PH kiddos. She was a year old. She was fine three days ago. Then she caught a cold. She stopped breathing yesterday. They did CPR but were unable to revive her. I understand that her mom was grieving, and I'm grieving with her...but she posted a picture of Emma. One where she's very clearly 'gone' already. I can't get it out of my head. Its tearing me up. Just that image.

Then the fact that I don't see the dr until next Thursday (the 28th) about the platelet thing. I'm doing what I can to bring them up, but what if I can't? And can a specialist really do anything considering I'll be almost 38 weeks before I even see my regular ob, let alone get in to see the specialist?

My mind is whirling.

^Ooooh, sorry you're having such a rough day!! I can imagine that the photo would definitely stick with you!

As for me, I have had 2 people at work tell me that they thought I looked lower this week than previously. I certainly think they are wrong, and let me also say that I certainly hope they are!! I know baby is breech so I certainly don't want him engaging. And I can definitely still feel head and butt right under my boobs so I'm pretty confident I haven't dropped. They're all just making me nervous!!

Thanks.

Okay, stupid question but.. isn't engaging where the head locks into the pelvis? Therefore can a breech baby actually 'engage'? Or does engage mean something else?

Tell 'em they're imagining things!

Oh, I am so sorry for their loss. I can only imagine it must be haunting to you. Sending positive thoughts!!!

People keep telling me I have dropped too! I don't think I have actually but he is breach now so maybe I just look different but he is def still all up in my ribs...

I have no patience today. My kids are whiny and just not listening well. The whining is sending me over the edge and the not listening is just making me loose patience!

Oh, I tell them all the time that I definitely haven't dropped. From my understanding, engaging is when any body part locks into the pelvis. Therefore, a breech baby can engage, but it would be its butt, or in my case, feet. It's just that "most" babies are head-down so it would be their head locking in. But I'm not "normal" so I don't fit in with that "most" classification.

Oh, that's aweful. I'm sorry for their loss, and also for how it must make you feel.

Oh man...Grace wanted me to play trains with her on the floor this evening. Serious back pain when I got up. She truly needs a playmate! Not that I don't love playing with her...there's only so much I can do at this point, though lol!
