I had my follow up appointment today regarding the low levels of amniotic fluid my doctor discovered last Wednesday. I've maintained, which is awesome--if it had been lower, that would have been a bad thing. I am on modified bed rest, and am to drink loads of water (which I already do--like, 100+oz a day). I will be going in for an appointment every three days, during which they'll do an ultrasound to measure the fluid levels, and a 20-minute non stress test. My doctor said that the low levels of fluid may be an indicator that my placenta is ready to give up, in which case baby needs to come out immediately--thus the every-few-days appointments. In the meantime, if I feel less movement from baby, I go to the birth center immediately. But if things maintain, she's confident we can keep my sweet girl cooking until 39-ish weeks! It was such a relief to hear that, and it really put my mind at ease. I can totally do this! Also, I just love my doctor. She is so real, straightforward, and competent. I feel like I'm in good hands, and am really positive things will be ok. Just thought I'd let you all know!

So glad to hear that they are taking the fluid levels seriously, and that you've maintained! Hang in there!

I had severely low fluid levels with DS1 in the end of my pregnancy. At 40 2/7 my AFI was 3. When they broke my water.. I had a small trickle and that was it. It was ridiculous.
