Apparently spring has sprung where I live, because I have wicked allergies all of a sudden. Runny nose, itchy palate and mouth, sneezing.

Am I allowed allergy meds? Which ones? Anyone taking something for allergies?

Yep, OTC Claritin or Zyrtec should be fine. You could also take Benadryl, but it causes more drowsiness than either of those (though some people do still complain of drowsiness with Zyrtec).

You can also take PLAIN sudafed (regular red box) not sudafed cold and sinus or sudafed flu or any of those.. just PLAIN sudafed. I also recommend the neti pot.

Last night I did the Benadryl thing... I only took one, but it worked well while in bed. I trust it a little more, only because it's been around forever!

Benadryl actually does work better than some of the second-generation antihistamines (Zyrtec, Claritin, etc). Those newer ones were designed to minimize the drowsiness and other side effects, but that also means minimizing some of the effectiveness.
