So, I've been having some contractions since being on bed rest, but not too many. But this afternoon I have been having some sharp pains that feel like the baby is shoving her arm out of my cervix! Ouch! Anyway, they keep coming & the last 2 times I've gone to the bathroom to pee, when I wipe there is "mucus like" stuff on the toilet paper. Sorry, tmi, I know. It isn't blood tinged but it's definitely not normal discharge. I don't remember if my plug came out during the last two pregnancies. But it seems to be starting to come out now. And that, with the sharp pains & on and off contractions.....it seems little miss is getting impatient in there.
Fingers crossed she stays put but from past experiences I'd say she might just be here soon!!

Hahaha she's got the patience of her daddy I swear!! He says she's just tired of spending all her time in mom's uterus, she wants to come out & spend time with her pop. It's really sinking in for him though, that she'll be here soon. He put the carseat in his car today & had such a worried look on his face. Poor guy. It's his first baby so he's a little nervous I think. Excited, but nervous.

Your plug should come out in what seems like chunks of thick mucus. Not to say that's always the case, but that is the norm. Also, it just means a change in your cervix and the plug can regenerate. It doesn't necessarily mean labor is on the way, but you will need to keep a watch. I hope baby bakes a little longer. Good luck!!

Mine came out in one giant glob that wasnt blood tinged and then that afternoon my water broke. Hopefully you can keep baby in there a little longer. Good luck.

I had a good size glob come out last week. Like someone else said it regenerates and doesn't necessarily mean anything. Hoping baby bakes for a few more weeks.

I've had bits and pieces come out for a while now. Luckily, as others have said, it does regenerate. If the whole thing came out, I'd probably be a little freaked out...that never happened with Grace. Either way, I hope your little one stays put a while longer!

Thanks ladies.
I know the mucus plug thing isn't really an indicator of when I'll go into labor. But with everything else going on it was just one more thing to add to the list. Last night my contractions got to be about 5 minutes apart for almost an hour & then suddenly stopped. I'm glad she hasn't come yet but that was frustrating! And has me pretty convinced that she's gonna be here sooner rather than later!
