So I've been trying to drink a lot in order to slow down my contractions which means I'm going to the bathroom quite frequently. However, it is difficult for me sometimes to get the urine to come out. I feel like I have to sit there forever for just a trickle. I wiggle around trying to loosen things up. It is very frustrating. Anyone have any helpful tips?

Try leaning forward. Spread your legs and put your belly between them and bend toward the floor.
It helps to ensure you empty your bladder all the way when you do go, so maybe it will help you go some!

I agree with the other two ladies who posted leaning forward certainly helps me. I have the same issue where it feels like only a trickle would come out and then whenever I'd get up, I'd still feel like I had bladder pressure.

I have the same issue. I've tried the lean forward thing and it kind of hurt my belly. I just deal with going a little and then going again 3 mins later

Are you getting a bladder infection by any chance? Just wondering..

I know one of the signs they asked me to call in for is if I started having trouble urinating with my Pre-E. So I know that its a sign or complication of Pre-E too.

No signs of Pre-E so far and I've been tested for infections twice in the past two weeks with negative results. Hopefully it's not pre-e. I think she's just getting big and pushes down and blocks me. I drank some orange juice this morning which woke her up and she moved around and it got better for a while. I think she lays places that interfere.

I appreciate all the helpful tips!

For me the leaning forward really helps too. I read that it puts pressure on the bladder and helps empty it completely.

I would just change positions frequently while peeing...I know as soon as I move, there's more there that suddenly appears!
