People ask if they know if I'm having a boy or a girl. I tell them I don't, but that I'm pretty sure it's a squid. It has at least 6 arms and 7 legs and they never stop moving and it's making me nuts. And it may have a double jointed butt, which also doesn't stop moving and pushing.

I'm convinced the delivery room is going to be a reenactment of that car birth scene from Men In Black.

I will love it with all it's inky, fishy, squishiness I'm sure, but my lord I am eager for this squiggler to be out!

This made me lol. I agree. The little kicks were cute-the pushing every body part into me 24/7 (especially when I'm trying to sleep, which usually doesn't happen anyway) is NOT cute. I''m ready to have my own belly back!

Isn't that the truth?! I think George is going to be an exercise freak. Every morning she does push up or leg presses or...something. It always feels very deliberate and measured as she pushes out firmly near the top of my uterus. I think its her way of saying "ooooooooookay, mommy. I'm up. What about you?"

And then she goes crazy at night and you have to wonder what in the WORLD she is doing in there.

*lol* This is so true! Darion has started doing this thing where he is arching his back and pushing his butt out at the top of my stomach. You can see and feel the outline of it as he pushes out with all his might and I just groan from the pressure and wonder what he's trying to accomplish in there.

Agreed here also.
Sometimes I swear she's trying to break out also. It feels like she's putting two feet at the top of my belly & pushing off as hard as she can & then head butts my cervix. Like she thinks if she head butts it enough she'll be able to get out. Other days it seems like she is stretching out on all directions & just pushing as hard as she can with all of her limbs.
She's gonna be a handful for sure!

I'm telling you, if my husband or OB looked like Will Smith, this is what the camera will catch this April here in Maine!

Usually I just get super butt pushes with the occasional foot out 'round the side circumference, but sometimes EVERYTHING is moving at once and I cannot fathom what is going on in there! What IS that moving? And where it is trying to go? And how can it possibly have enough space to be moving that many parts at once!? Squid-life is the only logical explanation, I'm convinced.

Every day just about from like 10 AM to 4 PM it's up and about, then again from 6-9ish. The only consolation is things generally quiet to some boring snuggling in at bedtime and overnight. If this baby decides to go 24/7, I might lose it. For reals.

(Note: for the record that THIS is my biggest complaint is a godsend. There are so many worse things I could be forced to deal with that are so much more serious and scary. But I'm still going to complain.)

It is amazing how much moving is still going on with the limited space. I have opposite movement since mine is going the wrong way. He loves to shove his head into different spots in my ribs and kick my bladder, pelvis and most recently somewhere that sends a shock thru my back. I am pretty sure he is practicing karate or tae kwon do on my insides.

This is hilarious, I automatically pictured the squid! My little man moves all the time too, I really wish there was a window to watch and see exactly what movements they are making.

Today as I left my appointment the nurse handed me a kick count sheet to do at night. I almost laughed in her face.....pretty sure we will have those 10 kicks in a matter of seconds once I lay down. Fourth baby and this is the first time I've been asked to do a kick count.

I totally picture that thing too! I swear occasionally I get really worried and think OMG is he having a seizure in there? No joke. I can't even fathom what on earth he is doing with ALL that movement. It's CRAZY isn't it

Just had to add that I was folding baby laundry last night to put away, and one of the little sleepers I bought is blue with squid, octopus, etc. on it. I thought immediately of you!!

My nurse case manager from my insurance keeps telling me I need to do kick counts and I keep telling her she's crazy. She's all "no, no, no...its very important to keep track of baby's movement." And I'm going "Yeah. I know that. But see, here's the thing...BABY NEVER STOPS MOVING!!"

LMAO
