For my sister, that is. She just texted me that they are inducing her today. She went in for her twice-a-week NST today, and her blood pressure was 156/114. After the OB consulted with a specialist, and they couldn't get her pressure down, they decided that today is the day!! They started a catheter and will be starting pitocin soon. She is due 3 days after me, so I guess that puts her at 36 weeks, 3 days. Her first two girls were born around 37 and 36 weeks, respectively, also both induced. So, before the day is out, I just may have a new nephew!!!!
Please keep her, my brother-in-law, and their little boy in your thoughts and prayers, whichever you prefer. I know it's always scary when you find out it's happening NOW!
My sister finally had him this morning around 8:00. He was 7 pounds, 2 oz and 19 inches long so not bad at all for 3 1/2 weeks early! She had a really rough labor this time, and the epidural never worked (she had it placed 3 different times - poor thing!!) She is exhausted after being up all night and starving since she hasn't eaten since yesterday morning. But both Mom and baby seem to be healthy!! Yay!!!!
