So the swing is the only big thing we didn't get at our shower. My FIL is getting it for us. I was going to get the snuggabunny swing to match our bouncer-but the problem I have with that is it looks so much like cradle/for newborns I just can't see an "older" baby in it. So, I have been debating getting this http://www.target.com/p/graco-duo-2-...n/-/A-13773926 instead because it has the newborn insert and looks more suitable for an older baby. The pattern also matches my highchair and pack and play. Any suggestions/advice from anyone? Thanks!

I don't know anything specifically about either of those, but the one we have is sort of similar to the graco one you posted, although it isn't 2-in-1. We used it for months!

We have a swing similar to the Graco. DD hated it, lol, she never wanted to be in it. But DD little brother absolutely loved it, it was the only place we could get him to nap. I didn't have the infant insert but I def think it would be a plus. I think its a little shallow for newborns, at least the one I had was.

I'd go with the snuggabunny. It plugs in as well as uses batteries (which can be a life saver). It LOOKS newbornish but that's because it reclines in multiple positions and can be set more upright for older babies. My son used it for a lonnnnng time.

If it can use a plug than i'd get that one! We already have a graco from DS, and I wish it plugged in!

Yes, definitely go with something that plugs in as well...you don't want to be going through batteries all the time. We have a Fisher Price swing, and I love it.

We have the Fisher Price Aquarium swing. I really like it because it can go front to back or side to side (DS liked side to side). But it doesn't plug in, which would be nice. But I like everything else about it.

Thanks for your suggestions ladies! I'm still debating. Someone at my internship today told me they got their daughter the mommyroo swing. She said she loves it. http://www.amazon.com/4moms-MamaRoo-...=mamaroo+swing It is the strangest looking thing I have ever seen! It looks like a spaceship. I keep trying to like it, but it looks so weird. My DH and family would think I've really lost it if I bought that thing I think lol.

the mamaroo is nice but certainly meant for much younger babies. it is motor back and forth.. no swinging action and doesn't go at all fast.

The Mamaroo is awesome!! My bff has one & it's really neat. My first thought was similar to what the others have already said---get one that can be plugged in. I didn't use mine a whole lot til she was older. I haven't unpacked it, so I can't remember what brand I have.

We have a Fisher Price one that we bought last time (only because it was the pattern we wanted). My girls all LOVED the swing so we knew that was one of our must-have items. Ours goes side to side, front to back, reclines, etc. It can also play sounds and had a newborn insert. I've always thought the snuggabunny ones look like they're for infants more, but I can't really say since I've never owned one. Ours also plugs in or can take batteries. We never used the battery feature because it was easier to just plug it in in whatever room we were in. And we used ours up until she was almost a year so we got TONS of use out of it.

^ Same...I know I said this before, but we loved our FP swing. It seriously has so many options...sounds, daytime music, sleepy music, no music, different volume levels, lights or no lights, side to side or front to back, batteries or plug in, different reclining positions, infant insert...it's really nice!

I have 4 friends that swear by the Mammaroo and my hubby loves it so that is the one we got. If LO hates it we will get the Snugabunny one that matches out bouncer. However, I really hope she likes the Mammaroo bc the footprint is so much smaller!!
