Let me just start with that I'm so in love all over again! I was scheduled for an amnio on Thursday the 14 then induction that day if she was ready. Well she wasn't ready so we scheduled an induction on Tuesday the 19th. We were at the hospital at 6:30, but they were busy so the dr didn't break my water until 8:53. I was dilated to a 4. They started me on pit because I wasn't contracting enough. My contractions were hard, but on the monitors they weren't very strong. I got an epidural and it didn't do anything above my legs, so they did another one and it didn't do anything on my right side. I was ok and dealing with it. At this time my contractions were only measuring 40 and they said for good contractions they need to measure between 80-100 (I had an internal monitor because they weren't picking up on my stomach) I was doing ok with the epi not working but then I had a really strong contraction (still didn't pick up on monitor) and then another strong one. At this time the epi lady (super nice lady) was back in the room to work on my epi so I wasn't in pain. It was hectic in the room at this time because I was in so much pain. I told the nurse she had to check me because I felt pressure and the epi lady put some more medicine in my epi. Nurse checked me and I was complete! I went from 4 to complete in 30 minutes!!!! I was stoked that I didn't have to deal with it for much longer and my dh was so shocked he couldn't figure out what she meant. He kept asking what complete meant, lol. Finally I said, it means I can push! Dr came in immediately, they had the bed tore apart, and let me push on my next contraction. I pushed once during that contraction and almost had her head out and the next contraction I pushed and got her head out and pushed again and she was out. It was amazing! I had a resident deliver me and he did great. My dr stitched me up, I had a small tear but it was in muscle so it was 2nd degree. It was funny because me labor went so fast that while she was stitching me up she was making lunch plans with the resident and then talking about going to a meeting. It was funny. My dr is great! I feel great now except for the huge roids that I have Anyways, Evelyn Kathlene is our biggest baby weighing in at 8lbs2oz and 20.5 inches long. She is also our only baby that wasn't jaundiced. We are so in love with her. I will post pictures eventually but to lazy to upload them right now. I couldn't be more happy with how my delivery went. Oh and she was born at 37w5d.
