Has anyone heard of this or tried it? I stumbled across a couple articles about it so I thought I would check here. I don't mind dates but the articles say to eat about 6 per day and I am not sure that I like them that much!
What?! You guys don't like dates?!?!?! I ADORE dates! I love the Medjool variety, which are big and sticky and sweet and yummy. I get them in the bins in the organic section of my grocery store and take them to work to munch instead of indulging in chocolate or other bad for me sweet things.
I could probably eat like 30 a day. I however know nothing about how they affect labor.

I love dates, I would easily eat 6 of not more as a snack. I ate them a lot during the last weeks of my first pregnancy but I don't know if they helped with anything.. I had a smooth but epi delivery lol

I was just reading about this yesterday. It was saying that you should eat them the entire 3rd trimester so I'm not sure it would help for some of us that are very near the end. I can't say that I've ever had a date, but from MaineBean's description, I'm not sure they're for me.

I'm not a huge fan of dates, but I thought I'd comment because Larabars are made with dates, that's the first ingredient in most, if not all of their flavors. You could probably stand to eat one of those a day.
