I am going back to breast feeding. My LOs tummy is just way to upset with formula ... She latched on great I have stuff to learn! Lol like when she's suckling for an hour and a half she's using me for just sucking haha my bad!
Thats fabulous!!! The formula messed up my baby's stomach as well. He had horrible constipation too the day after we brought him home and he didn't poop for almost 3 days. It was horrible. I had to take him to the peditrician and we had to use half a glycerine suppossitory to clean him out and get him going again. He has never had that problem again on breast milk.
Some babies can't handle the formula and some just need to have the right formula. But thats great that you are giving it another try. It is worth the work. *hug* Hang in there!
I am glad to hear that she got a good latch. Do take advantage of the nurses and lactation consultants while you are in the hospital. I think I mentioned it in another thread but I had them check just about every latch so that I had more confidence when I went home.
Hopefully being back on breast milk helps her fussiness.
And like the other moms here I promise that it gets easier and actually becomes really convenient after you both get the hang of it.
Good luck!! I second everyone who has advised you to utilize those nurses and lactation consultants. That's what they're there for!! It does get easier with time, and we're all more than happy to give you encouragement and advice when you need it!!
Glad to hear things are going better for you. That's awesome! It is difficult, no matter if you breast feed or use formula. It is a learning experience either way. I am hoping the breast feeding works for you. In regard to formula, some babies need to try a different type of formula as they have issues with milk or certain formula and it causes problems, gas, fussiness, constipation, etc. until they switch.
