I'm due to go back the last week of June. Blah- it's coming up so darn soon.
I will likely make arrangements to work from home 2 days a week for the first 3ish months, then one day a week for a while after that. (Currently I do one half day- it's to save on daycare costs.) When I go back, it will likely be one day with both kids then one day with just Ingrid.
I don't work right now, but I'm a full-time nursing student. I had to go back and write 3 of my exams less than 2 weeks after I had Rosie. It was rough, but I passed them all and am done with this semester thankfully! Now I'm off for the summer and don't go back until September, enjoying every minute of my time off with my babies!
When I went in to visit work yesterday, my boss asked me if I knew IF and when I'd be back. I told her I'd definitely be back. I'm hoping she remembers that I requested to go part-time when I return. Of course, she's leaving as soon as we find her replacement so I'm sure that she'll agree to whatever I want since it won't be her problem. She has never asked me about exactly how part-time I want to be. My goal is 3 days/week, which would be an adjustment from the 5 I was working, but I really want some time with my kids!! I told her I was planning on the end of June/beginning of July. My replacement is also getting antsy about it as she's finding out that it's much more difficult than it used to be when she retired (which is when I replaced her). In actuality, I am planning on going back the week of July 1st, but I also told them when I requested my leave that I would be taking another week in July off for our annual family vacation. Financially, I should go back much sooner, but I am refusing right now.
