Does your LO take the binkie or would they rather suck on their fingers?

Tessa will take the binkie, suck it for a few seconds and then spit it out and go for her fingers.

Neither really. He much prefers the boob.

The only time we really give him a pacifier is if he's really fussy/hungry when we are driving and we are almost to our destination.

I'm glad he doesn't really like it because I'd rather him not be walking around with a binkie in his mouth all the time.

It all just depends. If she's hungry, she won't take a paci longer than a few seconds. If she's happy and awake, she could take it or leave it. She seems to like having one when she's sleepy/falling asleep, but will spit it out just before actually falling asleep. And she will really only suck on her fingers if she's hungry and hasn't latched on yet.

nope, binkie makes him gag. we've tried a smaller one and he just spits it out or gags. we've also tried giving him a pumped bottle and he gags on that too. I hope he takes a baba one day. I don't care so much right now, good thing I don;t have to go to work anytime soon.

We were trying to go for no binkie because I remember having to sneak into my baby sister's (she's 2 now) room to give it back to her if it fell out while she slept.

During his wait for surgery he couldn't eat so we gave him one and he doesn't really like it. If he's fussy and inconsolable (usually just trying to get the gas out) I'll give him one, but that's about it. He prefers his hands

My son gags on bottles too. I've tried 5 different kinds and nothing works. I'm fine EBF but knowing he would take a bottle of pumped milk for someone if necessary would be nice.

Oh yes, we love the plug. Like my son, she's into sucking so we are more than happy to give her the pacifier. She def likes it to help her go to sleep, although she's getting better at putting herself to sleep after it falls out. As she gets older, we'll restrict it to only snoozing times- nighttime, naps, and car rides. There is no walking/crawling around with a plug for us. (Watch me eat those words- cause you just never know what will happen!)

No binky for us. My girls tried to give him one, but he didn't like it at all. I really don't want him to have one anyhow.

He doesn't really care about it. He likes it sometimes, but doesn't have to have it. He doesn't use it at night. He's so excited when he can get his hand in his mouth, so he'll probably end up being a thumb sucker instead.

Darion loves his pacifier ... It helps him fall asleep every time.. He sucks on it until he is JUST ready to fall asleep then he spits it out and passes out. It's one way that we know that he is really sleeping. He gets rid of the pacifier.

Wyatt is totally a binkie baby, but I am trying to restrict his use of it to just sleep time (heard that a binkie can help reduce the chance of SIDS during sleep) before he reaches the 3 month mark I don't want him being too attatched to it when he is older. We'll be hopefully kicking the habit entirely by 6 months

Yes we use a paci! If it was up to her she would be on the boob all day, which is fine when we're at home, but when we're out and about she gets the paci.

Alex does really care for it. If he's hungry no way will he take one. If he's sleepy he might take it for a min but he often gags on it. I don't really care for them so I'm happy he's not into it
