Do you play music for your baby at bedtime? Sing lullabies? Any special songs or CDs?

I play him a whole lot of instrumental lullabies and he likes some softer classical music too. There is this one video on you tube that says Lullaby - Fisher price and it runs for 2 hours. It knocks him out in the first 5 minutes.

We do play music for Anna at bedtime. It's a fairly long lullaby CD, and I restart it each time she wakes up to eat. We did the same for Grace. Grace still likes to have songs at bedtime (we rock and sing a few songs).

I play the music on the PnP at bedtime. During the day, I play my ipod. He likes Mumford & Sons. I also have a Pandora station that plays mostly The Beatles & Iz. I used to play an Iz CD for Brooklyn. His music has worked like magic for both of my kids. Love it!

I used to play classical music to my baby and it helped him get to sleep quite well. The one thing to be wary of is if your baby develops a habit and ends up needing music or something else to get to sleep. Self soothing is one of the most important aspects a baby needs to learn.

We don't play it when he's going to sleep, except in the swing. He does like music when he's awake, though. So far, I've found Kenny Chesney to be calming to him.

I play country music sometimes when I'm nursing her during the day, but usually the tv is on in the background when she is nursing (including the last nursing session before bed).
