What is it?

If you went to a friend's house for dinner, and that's what they served, would you eat it?

Oh boy!! This is a hard one for me. I'm fairly picky. I guess off the top of my head, I'd say squash. Or some type of casserole. Ewww!!

And if my friend served it, I would not eat it. I gag extremely easily, and foods I don't like definitely do that to me. So, I would rather possibly hurt their feelings and not eat their food than to make them clean up my vomit mess later.

Um.. Thick noodles. Curry. Organ meat. Any meat but cow, pig, chicken, goose. Watermelon. Fruit used as a sauce on meat. Fruit mixed with veggies. Weird cheeses. Foods that touched when not supposed to. Um probably a lot more that I'm forgetting right now

And no. I am very psychosomatic with my food issues, I'd end up puking.

I can't stand lamb with mint sauce. My grandmother used to serve it a lot when I was a kid. If a friend was serving it for dinner I would politely decline.

Wow, there are some foods that I don't care for, but none that I wouldn't eat altogether. I've worked hard to get over disliking the foods I wasn't a fan of growing up (squash, sweet potato casserole). My DH taught me to appreciate a wide variety of foods, and I'm grateful to him for that. I hope that we won't have trouble getting LO to eat everything and not be picky.

How can folks not like seafood?! Oh, it's so good! Shellfish, regular fish, sushi... fried, baked, sauteed, in chowder, in seafood salad... maybe it's in my blood as a New Englander, but I can't imagine not eating seafood!

I like a LOT of foods. I guess my least favorite is okra. I've only had it once or twice as a kid, but I remember it being pretty gross. If a friend who knew what they were doing served it though, I'd give it another try.

I also have a really hard time with veal and foie gras, not because of flavor, but because of them being kind of sad/inhumane. Even lamb is tough in that regard. I never order it at restaurants and wouldn't seek it out, but I'd eat it if someone else was serving it, but I might be a little sad about it.

I have a hard time with fresh onions, but that's about it. I would eat them if a friend served them. It used to make me gag to even smell them, but I can handle it now.

I love seafood, but I didn't like scallops the one time I have had them. But I don't know if it's just how they were prepared or if I would never like them.

I hate too much mayo. I like a little, but if it's enough to seem saucy, no thanks.

It's hard to say...maybe something like sauerkraut. I also really don't like peach cobbler or any kind of fruit pie. Crazy, I know. I might try to eat some, but it'd be tough!

I am probably the PICKIEST eater ever - I still don't like my food touching and no crust on my sandwiches!! (Don't Judge!)

:-)

However, the absolute one thing I will not eat is Lasanga - unless the Ricotta cheese is removed ... I cannot stand Ricotta cheese!!!
