Is it possible for teething to start at 12 weeks?

Tessa has been drooling a lot and sucking on everything, paci, fingers, my fingers, toys, etc. I felt her gums and they don't feel any different ... she's been a little extra fussy too. Gave her some tylenol last night and it helped her sleep ...

any ideas?

I thought the same thing when little man started to drool so much that I needed to keep bib on him. He's also trying to suck his thumb, which is new. I was also thinking he was an early teether until my baby update e-mail told me this is the time that their salivary glands develop.

I think all the FTMs on my other playroom asked the same thing. And all the BTDT moms said that generally nope, it's just drool time. It's rare for little newborns to get teeth- not impossible, but rare.

I actually asked Wyatt's ped about this last week. She said that it is possible, but it is hard to tell. She even told me that very rarely some infants are born with teeth already cutting! I never knew that was even possible. But she said the average is about 9 months for teething

L drools like crazy and is always shoving his fists in his mouth and sucking. We bought an amber necklace and it seems to be helping with the drool. Plus it looks absolutely adorable

My LO has just started drooling a bunch this week too. We are having a lot of outfit changes. It could be teething or if might not be, sometimes you don't know until you start seeing/ feeling the teeth come through.

An amber necklace lol. It's made from sap and releases succinic acid when warmed by the skin. Helps with pain relief. Not just for teething either, adults can wear them too.
The raw lighter colored ones work best. I got one from etsy and amazon. I know how we love amazon lol

My oldest had them cutting through around 6 months, but I think he started teething around 4 months. He had a whole bunch by 1 year, which cut short our breastfeeding time.

I do not remember when Grace had teeth come through, but she did that drooling/hand chewing for months before getting teeth.
