If you did not have a home birth, how many days were you and your little one in the hospital/birthing center after delivery?

48 hours exactly after his birth. We were supposed to go home after 24 hours but had to wait for a specialist to see L the next day and for a blood patch for me.

For me, it was about 32 hours after delivery. It would have been sooner, but they were trying to wait a bit to see if Anna was going to be getting out of the NICU that day. If she were going to be out of NICU, they were going to keep both of us another night in mother/baby. But it turns out she wasn't getting out just yet, so they discharged me so that I could stay in her room.

Anna was in the hospital about 3.5 days.

We left 57 hours after she was born. I give the mommies credit who can get out after only one night! I went into it saying i wanted to go home as soon as possible because our dogs were home alone, but I felt so beat up I would've stayed longer if I could!

Tuesday to Saturday for me, because it was a c-section. No complications or anything, though.

I was in the hospital for 2 days afterwards and we had the room the day that we were being released until midnight. We didn't stay that long of course but that was the rules of that hospital.

I was a section and I left after 2 days - we were about 52 hours from birth. My shortest stay yet. Could not wait to get out of there!

about 60 hours or 2.5 days. I begged to leave sooner, but the doctor said no.... Doc said that I needed the rest with 3 other kids at home and she felt like I wouldn't get it at home so she declined discharging me...now I am thankful, then I was mad!

I had Cole on Tues. at 9:14 a.m. and left Thurs. around 10:00 a.m. so 2 days. I would've liked to stay longer the nurses were great and we had food service with a large menu (and good food for hospital food!)

It seems like I was there lots longer than even the other c-sections. But it was the same as my 2nd c-section and one day longer than my first c-section. But I've never had any complications. I wonder why I always have to stay so long... ? I've always just followed my doctors'/hospitals' recommendations.

4days- Tuesday afternoon until Saturday evening

I had the c/s to deal with but really it was Ingrid's jaundice that kept us. I could have left Friday, but I stayed on as a special non-patient in my room since I was her food source. It was 2 days less than with my son since I had a 36+ hour induction in front of his c/s and jaundice!
