I wish my body would've been able to dilate without needing pitocin...I was doing great breathing thru the contractions for the 11 hours of labor prior to the pitocin...within 30 min of pitocin, I needed the epi and I really wanted to try have her without it. Overall though, looking back I had a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to doing it all again at some point!
It would definitely be that my epidural would have worked and continued to work while I was on Pitocin ..the drug from hell... I'm stillllllllllll waiting to forget that pain like everyone says I will.
Hasn't happened yet!!
I'm SOOOO with you on that one! To the nurse that told me there's a difference between pressure and pain-I'm fully aware of the difference!
I will definitely be more vocal about my needs the next time.
This seems so trivial, but I would have liked to have had my legs covered during the c-section. I feel so on display when I'm lying there naked. I was covered for my second c-section and uncovered for my first and third c-sections. I don't know why the difference, but I much preferred being covered!
