It's bad here, too. I was seriously just checking the weather to see if it was cool enough to hang out outside...uh, no. At nearly 6 pm it's 93 and feels like 101. And the crappy thing is that it'll only get worse. Blah.
I can't stand heat and humidity so I don't blame Lilly for being fussy.
I personally would take my baby in a pool before I would take her in a lake just because of bacteria, but I may be in the minority. We don't have any lakes that I would even consider getting in around here so it isn't something I have put much thought into. I hope that the a/c helps you cool off!
It's been awfully hot and humid here too. We've been going into the pool every day for a little bit. The day we went to the lake it wasn't so warm up there so we didn't go in. I think we are heading back up this week and I plan to take him in then if its not too cold.
We've been to the pool 3 times and loved it. We've also been in our kiddie pool in the yard 3 or 4 times. We have plans to go to the lake Saturday with friends, and I'm pretty nervous. The high is supposed to be 103 degrees, so we'll have to get the baby in the water. It's the only way to stay cool outdoors around here. It's funny because Austin is such an outdoor city, especially in the summer when it's hottest.
We're going to a concert at the park tomorrow with the baby, just because we go with our friends every summer. Hopefully we'll all survive the heat and the baby enjoys it, otherwise we'll be stuck inside at home for the next 3 months.
