I won't take L to the theatre. I think it's too loud for their ears at this age personally. We get movies through Netflix and have seen some good ones lately. DH wants to see a bunch in the theatre this summer so he can go with friends or by himself and I'll stay home with L.
My 7 yr. old wants to see Despicable Me 2, so my dh is going to stay home with the baby and our 3 yr. old as he does not like it when its dark, or when it is too loud. That is the only movie that we will be seeing this summer though.
We took the boys to see Iron Man 3 and Epic (while we were visiting family in FL) and took Rosie with for both. She slept through the entire movies so I don't think the volume bothered her lol! We are taking the boys this weekend to see Monsters University for their birthdays, with their cousins. I would like to see World War Z, but we'll have to wait until that one is out on dvd.
Anna has been to the theater. She went with us to see iron man 3, follow that bird (free summer movie), and world war z. She sleeps the whole time in the Moby or beco. We definitely want to take Grace to see Despicable Me 2 this summer.
One of the theater chains around here, Alamo Drafthouse, has Baby Day on Tuesdays. All showings before 2 p.m. are open for parents with babies, and they don't dim the lights all the way, and they keep the volume a bit quieter than normal. My husband and I will probably go in a few weeks when he has a Tuesday off. The theater is also full-service with food and drinks, so it will be a fun lunch date.
My older girls went with a couple of their cousins to see Monsters University. I really wanted to see it. I have no qualms about taking the baby, but my 4th is only interested in Toy Story and no other animated films so I felt like I couldn't go.
