I have a friend who had her daughter the day before I had Jaxon (april 27). She formula feeds and has not started her period yet. She took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Could this be hormones still from this past pregnancy or could she be pregnant again?

It's entirely possible to be pregnant. Since you ovulate (and are fertile) before you have a period, you can get pregnant before you have a postpartum period. And I think by 6 weeks, hcg should be back to normal. It is possible for hcg to remain elevated with retained placental fragments, but there would probably be other things going on as well.

I was actually sad that I gave all my home pregnancy tests away because I thought it would be fun to see if my hcg levels had returned to normal. Your friend could definitely be pregnant though!

She has taken two more and they were both negative. She says she is going to wait a week or so and take another one if she doesn't start. I could not imagine being pregnant again already. I think I will enjoy time with this one begore another one

Sounds like a good plan. Hope it turns out the way she wants.

Whoa that's crazy. I know someone who went for her 6 week pp visit and found out she was pregnant! I can't even imagine, that's too soon for me. Let alone too soon for dtd to even have happened so I could be pregnant!
