Who taught you to drive?

Did you learn to drive a standard or automatic transmission car?

How old were you? At what age can you get a license in your state?

Who do you think will teach your child(ren) to drive?

Who taught you to drive? mostly my mom, but I did drive a little with my dad

Did you learn to drive a standard or automatic transmission car? both mostly I drove an automatic because that was our main vehicle, but my dad said I had to be able to drive the truck(standard tranny) pulling the trailer and be able to back the trailer up the hill and park it in the carport before he would allow me to get my license.

How old were you? At what age can you get a license in your state? 16 and 16

Who do you think will teach your child(ren) to drive? DH and I both. DH has his 'rock buggy' as he calls it and he lets the oldest one 'drive' it. He puts it in 4 low so she can't get going to fast to start with but she gets to practice with the shifting gears, watching were she is going, turning, and backing. . .etc etc. Once she is a little older I will probably start working with her on one of the other cars. We will probably do the same with the other kids.

My dad tried to teach me to drive and it was a disaster. It was such a disaster that my mom hired a private driving teacher!!

I learned on a manual transmission because that is all we had. I didn't drive an automatic until I was in my mid thirties.

16 and 16

I hope that it is not me teaching the girls to drive. I can't really see my husband doing it either... so it will probably be me. I'm hoping that it will be easier in an automatic car!

Who taught you to drive? Both parents, but when I learned to drive stick, my mom taught me.

Did you learn to drive a standard or automatic transmission car? Automatic

How old were you? At what age can you get a license in your state? 16 and 16 (but you can start practicing driving at 15 1/2)

Who do you think will teach your child(ren) to drive? I think it will depend on the child. I always thought it would be my husband, but my oldest just got her license, and I logged the majority of the hours with her since you have to turn them into the state before they can take their driving test, and she got nervous with him teaching her.

My mom taught me.

I learned on an automatic. DH taught me to drive a standard in college.

I learned to drive at 14. In Arkansas, you can get a learner's permit at 14, and drive with an adult, and then get a license at 16.

I always imagine DH will teach the girls to drive, but I guess we'll see.

Did you learn to drive a standard or automatic transmission car? I learned to drive both. The car that I was suppose to get when I turned 16 was a standard, so I was taught on that car as well as an automatic.

How old were you? At what age can you get a license in your state? In Georgia you can get a learner's permit at 15 and you can drive with an adult then get your license at 16.I learned to drive on the back roads at 14 though.
I have a sister who is 2 yrs. older so when my mom taught her, she taught me.
Who do you think will teach your child(ren) to drive?
My dh, he is good with that sort of thing. He also can drive pretty much anything.

Who taught you to drive? Driver's ed

Did you learn to drive a standard or automatic transmission car? Both

How old were you? At what age can you get a license in your state? 15 and 15 when I was that age, but now it's 16. When my sister was a teenager it was 14. She got her license when she was 14. Crazy. I guess 15 is only a little less crazy.

Who do you think will teach your child(ren) to drive? Both, I hope. I know I want to be involved in that.
