Hello everyone! I am working on an advocacy project and we need mother input. If you have attempted to have Breastfeeding equipment reimbursed through your health insurance in the last year and were met with difficulties we need your stories. Maybe all of the in network providers given to you didn't have pumps or they only had pumps of lower quality(Lansinoh, Ameda, etc...), maybe you had to come out of pocket for some if not all the expense as a result. Did you have to wait 3 weeks to get the pump? Was it sent in the mail or did a lactation consultant deliver it and show you how to use it to maintain supply? We need any and all negative experiences associated with access to these services. We are submitting them to major private payers so they can see a need to reevaluate their policies. We have been having some very productive talks but they are oblivious to these problems.
