When do they start stretching the appointments out?rather than every month... Lilly doesn't like the doctors at all she screams most of the time her pediatrician gets uptight about it because he can't hear her heart beat ... i just dread appointments now plus shots.

Our have been 4 days, 2 months & 4 months so far, and then 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 48. It probably depends on the doctor and the situation. I know my ped skips the 2 week check-up for babies of second time parents. And I guess if there were any issues with the baby, there might be more frequent checks. And then some parents choose not to take their babies as frequently (or at all). But generally, after 6 months it usually starts to spread out a bit, and then even more after 12 months.

I think we did 2 weeks, 1 month (maybe? I don't remember), 2 months, 4 months, and we've got a 6 month next month. I have no idea after that - probably 9 months and 12 months.

We have had shots at the 2 and 4 months. They are the worst- but I am always grateful for breastfeeding so that I can pop a boob in her mouth after to make it all better! I'm sorry Lilly gets so upset. Can you try bringing something like a new toy or book? Or make your SO take her?!
