If you've started solids, what foods have you given your baby? What do they seem to like/not like?

she mostly plays with it still, but so far avocado and banana. I have persimmons ripening, if I don't eat them all before they are soft and squishy then she'll have some

Whole grain baby oatmeal, banana, avocado and sucked on an apple, carrot, and green (or red, I forget) pepper.

I think she likes the idea of eating, but isn't so into the flavors yet. She ate avocado the night she threw up this week- I think it might have been too rich for an already possibly upset stomach?

She loves smelling things though. I always let her smell spices and ingredients when I'm cooking with her in the kitchen, and she generally stops wiggling to focus on the new smell.

Banana green beans squash and plain potato(softened and mashed without butter or milk). She loves to eat. She chows down like a champ her favs so far are banana and potato.

I gave Anna an apple slice the other day and she sucked on it briefly. I think she liked it. That's the only taste she's had of any solid food so far.

Applesauce, bananas, sweet potatoes, carrots, and rice cereal. I actually never give him the stuff at home because I'm lazy. I send them to day care so he should probably enjoy it now before he's home with me all the time because I find it easier just to nurse him. He's not a fan of carrots at all. He also had 1 mixed fruit that hubby gave him, but I don't remember what it was.

Dylan is huge into his solids. Yogurt he loves, applesauce, pears, carrots, mixed veggies and his favorite is sweet potatoes There's not much that he doesn't like, but he does have his preferences.

Ingrid is SO not into real food. Tonight I tried to do both oatmeal and homemade applesauce and she wanted nothing to do with them. I know it doesn't really matter at this age and it's just for practice, but I still wish she was more into eating. It would allow us to do something with her at dinner instead of me putting her to bed while the boys eat and then eating only partly warm dinner. And we LOVE food around here, so I'm so eager to share all the wonderful flavors of the world with her.

She'll get there....

Banana which he doesn't care for. Sweet potato he likes to play with. Plums which he loves to suck on and pears he loves to suck on too. Sweet potato must be a good texture to touch but so far plums and pears are a win!

Anna had a piece of zucchini last night and she actually chewed on it for a while. She made a face at first, but she didn't seem to hate it or anything.
