In your experience, which was easier: going from zero to one kid, or from one kid to two?
I've heard opinions on both sides, and I'm just curious to hear your own experiences.

I don't have any kids but with the way I'm feeling right now, I couldn't imagine chasing after a toddler/young child ... I can barely keep up with my dog ... I give the other mothers with children so much respect!

well I only have 1 so far, but I nanny my niece for what it's worth lol. I think becoming a first time parent is the hardest. You have no idea what you are in for

I remember feeling the same way last time! I am curious to see how that's all going to go if/when I feel as bad as I did last pregnancy.

I think having #1 was hardest, thought I knew it all and had to realize I knew just about nothing. I went through postpartum depression as well, but later when #2 came, I was prepared for what comes with it. Now expecting #6, it's a piece of cake, I learned what works for me and how to balance everything out.

going from 1-2 was a breeze! I also think it depends on the age difference. Mine are 3 yrs apart so my 3 yr old could occupy himself while I nursed the baby. There will be 4 years between my 2nd and 3rd so that shouldn't be to bad (I hope)!

I'd say 0-1. I knew what I was doing this time around with Rowan, and got more sleep.

I think 0-1 was hard, only cause I had no idea what to expect and it was all so new. 1-2 was very easy. But I am nervous about going from 2-3, but my DD's will be 10 and 7 so they will be a big help but still very nervous about it.

Hmmm, tough question. 0-1 is hard because you have all of your expectations that are quickly shot out of the water. 1-2 was also hard, though because you have to find a way to divide your time so neither feels left out. After 2, I thought anything else was easy. However, someone that I went to school with said it was a really rough transition for them from 4-5. I hope not!!

0-1 was much harder, though the first pregnancy was easier because I could just relax on the couch instead of taking care of a toddler.

I didn't find going from 0-1 to be hard, for me the transition from 1-2 was more difficult. My oldest wasn't even 2 when I had my 2nd though so that could have been why. I just remember feeling very overwhelmed at first when we brought our 2nd home. With the first I could nap when he was napping during the day if we had a rough night or use that time to shower/clean etc. Once the second came there was no napping unless they were both asleep and no showering or cleaning until Daddy came home lol.

Based on this, I think it totally depends on the baby. My first wouldn't nap at all unless she was sleeping on someone, and she was super attached to me. So the only time for a shower was the 45 minutes after putting her to sleep for the night because that was the only guaranteed sleep we could get out of her (she was this way until 9 months).
My second was an easier baby so I could put her down for a nap, and bring DD1 into the bathroom with me when I showered (or just leave the door open while she was watching a movie).

I thought going from 0 to 1 was harder than 1 to 2. Like others said I knew what to expect, what worked for me and such. That said I thought the pregnancy was harder with my second because I could no longer nap after I got home from work every day. I also had to bring my son with me to the appointments or arrange a sitter (hardly ever happened). It was harder chasing my son around when I was feeling lousy or t.i.r.e.d. also

0 to 1, hands down!!! 1 to 2 was awful! 2 to 3 was bad! hoping since my oldest will be 7 with this one, it won't be so bad.

0-1....then again, my second child is about 9yrs apart from my first. So, I got a lot of help from my oldest! Going from 2 to 3 was the hardest, for me. That probably has a lot to do with the fact that my 2nd and 3rd children were only 10 1/2 mos apart! Being pregnant, and taking care of a baby, are EXHAUSTING! Not to mention, the challenges of having an infant, and an 11mo old who was on the go! I'm very nervous about this baby (#5). My 5yr old DS takes off on me a lot, because of the Autism. And, then I have a 19mo old who takes off in the other direction! I picture an octopus at this point! lol
