DS's surgery went well and he is making a faster than expected recovery. The ENT was floored by the state of his tonsils. He described them as huge, midline tonsils with tons of scar tissue that were attached to each other. DS has already had a major reduction in his snoring which is almost totally gone, he's breathing much better, he's experiencing less difficulty swallowing liquids, and he's pronouncing some letters that he couldn't before. Now I just need to keep him resting which he doesn't appear to want to do.
They said he can try broth, but to hold off on that kind of stuff until tomorrow because of the salt. He's not even supposed to take his liquid vitamin until tomorrow because certain things in it could cause further discomfort. This weekend is just things like pudding, jello, and ice cream if he feels up to it. We're not supposed to push it though.
wow things have changed I had pops right out of surgery and ice cream within hours... hope he decides to eat. How are you hanging in there? Me I would be stressing over the non eating thing, I'm glad you have more patience with DS.
Thank you Heather(hettyhoo) for my beautiful siggy
