In conneticut they banned the use of 3D ultrasounds for the sake of entertainment?? Not enugh long term studies to know the effect on the fetus being exposed to the radiation, even though they dont think it is significantly harmful since the entertainment type u/s places are not regulated and therefore cant ensure the safety and condition of the machines.

What do you think?? Have you had them and what was your experience?

I had a 3D/4D u/s done twice, but it was part of their policy. They did that for everybody unless they had a reason not to. It wasn't something we actually intended to have done, but it really was amazing. They let you get x-rays up to a certain point during pregnancy and I can't imagine this was anywhere near that amount of radiation.

Hmm that is very interesting I cant imagine there would be too much radiation effects from using it once or twice....

well the fear is 2 fold 1: the unknown and 2: the non regulation of the equipment.. like everything I suppose modernation should be ok, for me the should is questionable.

People like Tom Cruise are probably part of the reason for the concern. He actually bought one of those during his wife's pregnancy if I remember right.
