Okay, so I didn't know what to title this. Elizabeth has to go off of breastmilk though. She just can't stomach it and her tummy is so messed up the pediatrician said she needs to be on formula. My poor baby has pretty much had a life long tummy ache.
I'm not sure. My diet is simpler now than it was in the hospital and she's doing worse each day. She's had two bottles of formula so far and hasn't fussed or tried to blow out a diaper so that's good. As long as she feels better that's all that matters. Insha'Allah in a few days she'll be 110%.
On a positive side note, he said her jaundice is completely gone so we don't have to worry about her possibly rebounding anymore.
It's usually something that the mother eats that the baby can't stomach. The problem is it could be anything. Eggs, gluten, apple, some sort of preservative, etc. Trying to figure out what it is can be really easy, or it can take a really long time. Her stomach was just so screwed up that nobody wants to prolong it further because she could start losing weight again and get dehydrated.
