It's sort of flying by really. With not fasting it hardly feels different, but we're a lot busier this year than we were the last couple years. Insha'Allah I'll be able to fast with DH next year.

Anna, as sick as you get I'm not sure you will be able to fast ever.. but that's ok Allah doesnt wish for us to be sick.
Kareema, I have never met anyone who loves Ramadan and fasting as much as you, you must have great parents and family.

Our Ramadan is going very well, especially now with HSing we get lots of time to focus and learn about Islam and Ramadan

That's true, but I'm still going to try each year that I can and hope for the best. If nothing else hopefully it will help encourage the kids when they're older.

Yea Anna just do what you can, if your intention is there that is all that counts

And Farrah come spend a weekend in Dearborn with me sometime during Ramadan or when you go to Egypt one day during ramadan inshaAllah you will see why it is more fun

Alhumdulillah Ramadan is going well for us. I have been really tired this year with the two little ones and all the cooking that gets done.

I am with you guys it hardly feels like ramadan at all as I am not fasting again this year. For some reason even less so than last year, which I also didn't fast due to my pregnancy, but last year I was able to go to the mosque for taraweeh a few times (that's out now since my son is going to bed so early and I have nobody else to stay home with him). It's really unfestive feeling. I haven't even seen any other muslims I know since Ramadan began either. Holiday's just don't seem very holiday-ey when you're the only one around who observes them . Insha'allah next year will be better, and he will be a bit older so I will try to decorate too and start some traditions of our own.
