We're going to pick up some pumpkins and DH is going to take DD trick or treating. That's about it. Halloween scares the daylights out of DS and Elizabeth is just too small IMO to take out. Especially since it's already getting pretty cold at night.
we got the window clingies and put them up in the house and truck, got a new pumpkin paper lantern and pumpkins.. maybe this weekend going to the pumpkin patch for some fall fun and Islam has his transformer custume.. Sumaiya wants to be a princess but we havent found the one she loves yet. oh Anna I dont blame you for not taking Elizabeth out however I always dressed mine for their first halloween and took them out.
Thank you Heather(hettyhoo) for my beautiful siggy

I thought about taking her out this year initially, but my IL's got really pushy that I HAD to use a very specific used peapod costume which irritated me to the point of saying no way, not going to happen, we're just not going. Now I'm glad because the poor thing has already been sick twice and it seems like it'd just be a great opportunity for her to get sick again.
ETA: Kareema, you should dress up and have one of those alien things coming out of your belly! It'd be perfect and future bumps may not fall over Halloween.
My in-laws can be maddening! It's like they forget that I'm not them and had a totally different upbringing than any of them. They think small cities are country. Imagine their reaction when I showed them pictures of the farm. They couldn't comprehend that anybody would live surrounded by thousands of acres of field. I used to try to just shrug their comments off and not be too offended, but they get so pushy that it's hard not to be offended. Especially on the religious front. They say anybody that fasts is an extremist and stuff like that. I've given up on shrugging it off and trying not to hurt feelings. They'll either learn to think before they speak, to listen to me when I try to correct them, or to shut up and avoid certain topics.
yea stick to your guns and be strong so they dont walk all over you, as long as your not blatenly tring to make them mad then they should seriously get over it and accept that things aren't going to change.
