I've never seen one, but DH taught the local Sunday school and it sounded like it was really nice. Out here they studied written and spoken Arabic as well as the Quran so it gave the kids gentle nudges in several directions.

From what DH said it was a pretty good experience for the kids and some of them knew more about the Quran than their parents.

He works with DD more than DS right now, but he's their primary teacher. He's my teacher as well. It isn't the same thing though. He teaches when given the opportunity with DD. When she shows interest he goes into teacher mode, rather than having a set day. She doesn't do as well with set days.

I think it's a good idea if you don't have a full time Islamic school or can't afford it.

Thats great girls I am so happy that it is important to you for your kids to be raised like this, most parents around here put their kids in either an after school islamic program or weekend program, the islamic schools education level is sub par here they are finding out, but the kids are awesome they can read write speak perfect arabic and can recite koran and know so much I think it is a great thing that my son will def be doing...
