I did a LOT of calling around and couldn't find a dentist for DS. Everybody either didn't take our dental or had never heard of it. Our medical is great, but the dental is through the union so we're really limited. Our list of dentists we're allowed to use was lost when we moved last year which really didn't help. So I gave up and called the insurance people and told them what I needed. She got on her computer and found a pediatric dentist an hour and a half away. He goes in tomorrow at 3! She would've kept looking to find a GP closer, but he's only 3 years old so odds are they'd refer him to a pediatric dentist anyways. I know our list didn't have ANY pediatric dentists on it before so they must be a new addition. I'm so glad he's going to get his teeth taken care of finally! All of the antibiotics he was on and the surgery really screwed them up badly.
It's about the same time wise. I'm taking him to Germantown which is technically closer, but the traffic has been an issue every time we've gone down there which really lengthens the drive time. I think the only time I've not seen traffic going that direction was one Thanksgiving that we left at dinner time. His family eats at 3 so by the usual dinner time people start clearing out. The roads aren't quite so bad then.
