Do you ever have breakfast for dinner?
Do you ever let the kids or think you would let the kids decide on a meal, not partially but the whole thing?

We do breakfast for dinner a few times a month. It's one of our favorites since schedules don't allow for a massive family breakfast typically. As far as the kids choosing meals, I let them. DD1 anyways, the others are too young obviously. She loves it when she picks a whole meal.

Tonight we made green pancakes with star sprinkles and bacon (turkey ) and as far as letting them pick, by all means. It makes life easier and some nights an easy meal is all that it takes to make a day end faster

We get this country bacon style (made by a jewish company and sold at Sam's club) and its not pork crispy but its (hard to describe ) firm and a bit of a crunch. The turkey bacon we get at the grocery store I think its Oscar Mayer it gets crunchy and crisp since it is much thinner.

I'll have to check it out. I thought it was Oscar Meyer that had bacon fat in it. Usually I get Butterball.

Maybe it is butterball but I think the key is cooking until you get that crispness u want ... almost burnt.

I'll have to keep tinkering with it. We ate bacon sandwiches all the time growing up (I never liked the T for a BLT), but they're just not right with soft bacon. Kicking pork was easy, the sandwich not so much.

I have breakfast for dinner a lot. I don't see a problem with letting kids choose (as long as it's some variety and not unhealthy). In fact I frequently am tired enough I have a hard time thinking what to make so I appreciate the suggestion or request.

If you go to a halal meat place you can get beef bacon and that gets really crispy and tastes delicious esp in a blt! Not sure what the other pork one tastes like but ill tell you its pretty great with the beef! We do eat breakfast for dinner I love it! I am sure I will let my son pick out meal I want him to enjoy food and the process of making it and eating it like I did with my mom...even though he is a boy lol
