Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum but have been checking it out for a while. I noticed that there is not much information on the members. I was wondering the following...

How's your pregnancy going?
When is your due date?
Is this your first child or not?
Do you know what you are having?
If this is not your first pregnancy, how was labor for you?

My pregnancy is going well. My dd is Dec. 27, 2009. This is my 1st child. I'm having a little girl :-)

Hello Farrah. Thank you for the welcome. How was your weekend? With your first child, was your pregnancy easy for you? What was labor like? And how long was it for you? My pregnancy has gone well but I was very sick the first 3 and half months or so. Now I'm just trying to get in as much rest as possible before the baby arrives.

Merita

How's your pregnancy going? If I'm late for a reason then great so far.
When is your due date? Possibly August 10, 2010
Is this your first child or not? It would be our 4th
Do you know what you are having? Don't even know for sure if we're having yet. Can't get a test until Thursday.
If this is not your first pregnancy, how was labor for you? My first two labor was very hard. The first was mostly because it was my first and I had a horrible doctor. Those two factors combined made for a bad experience. With the second they didn't hydrate me properly before and during the time I had an epi so I had horrendous shaking, my BP was dropping and my heart rate was as well. With the third I had a wonderful doctor and it was a fantastic experience. Smooth as could be.

That said, I'm so glad your pregnancy has gone well. It's a lot better when you have an uneventful pregnancy that allows you to enjoy it more.

Merita, my weekend is well... like everyother day. My DH works weekends LOL well with DS I had a bad pregnancy and was induced at 36 weeks and was in labor for 49 hours and gave birth via emergency c-section and my son was sick. However with DD we decided to do a repeat section and I was in labor only hours and they decided safer to take her and she came at 36 weeks exactly. It was smooth and peaceful.

How have you been feeling lately, still getting sick?

Assalamou alaikum Merita,
I am not currently pregnant, I have one son who is almost a year old! So I was in much the same boat as you one year ago. I'm not sure if my labor was hard or easy as I don't have anything to compare it with... I went in with strong ideas about avoiding the painkillers, etc and came out having taken them anyway in the end, but happy with my wonderful son. In the end the baby is all that ends up mattering. As it turns out while you are going through labor all of the other stuff is inconsequential, the plans you made may not pan out or you don't care anymore. I do remember it being extremely painful, but I can't remember how bad it felt. I assume this is intentional so I will have another one, which I hope to do insha'allah!
