I think it's a real threat to people that have underlying conditions, known or not, that it can complicate. Of course that's true of any flu, this one just has far fewer people that can resist it at this time. However, our immune systems are incredibly adaptive so I think people obsessing about it as much as they are only serves to make it worse mentally.

yeah I honestly believe it is a real threat to all ranges of people.. I am more at ease now knowing that the kids will be protected from this strain.

Mine haven't been vaccinated (Elizabeth doesn't even have the option), but we were repeatedly exposed and I think all developed minor cases of it with mine being the worst. It wasn't fun, but at least we should have some degree of immunity if from nothing else than the exposure.

After taking all these science classes this semester we studied the flu virus in depth in microbiology, it is just a different strain of the flu and it does cause harm to people that are immunocompromised but thats no worse than the regular flu I am not worried I think it is just a way for the pharm companies to make extra money even my dr reccomended that I didnt take the vaccine

Did he say why he didn't recommend it? They really pushed my cousin to get it and basically scared her into it. They told her that if she had it within two weeks of his birth it'd work for him as well, otherwise he'd be at a high risk until he's 6 months old. Curious why some push it so hard and others don't.

she said that she would not reccomend taking something that has not been tested and clinically proven to be safe or something that she would not take herself which she didnt, also my cousin who is a dr and pg herself said not to take it so I trusted her esp since she works in urgent care, she said if I wanted to which I def did not she said to take it after 20 weeks, i dunno its all in your own prefrences
