Owww, I don't envy you the back contractions. Is there anything they said you can do to help with those?

Well if he's already dropped and you're having back contractions and stuff you could be right. I don't think I've ever heard of Braxton Hicks presenting as back labor. Could be wrong though.

It's wishful thinking !! Hamid dropped at 35 weeks and they were sure I would deliver at 36 or 37 weeks. I went 42 weeks with him!! So, hate to burst your bubble (lack of a better expression and yeah, had to say it), but he might be in there for the long haul. Anyway, the longer he's in there the better he'll be when he comes out. He'll be tiny at 40 weeks and extra tiny at 38 . Inshallah whatever does happen it's all good. Just hang in there. It doesn't really get much worse than it is now. Just try to rest alot, drink alot and don't do too much.

If he is you can use Mylicon. It helps a LOT. You should be sure to have some on hand just in case. It's safe to use even with a newborn. Elizabeth has to have it before every bottle or she's absolutely miserable because she hasn't been able to stomach any formula we've tried. I'm not sure what it is that sets her off, but the more sensitive the formula the worse she actually gets.

I've never actually found gripe water to try it. The Mylicon only ever really helps Elizabeth if she has it before the bottle. It helps after, but not as much and if I put it in it doesn't help at all.

My first my oh my God so colicky!! I tried Gripe Water from here and it did nothing for her. I was breastfeeding plus supplementing and found (of course) that the colic had alot to do with what I was eating. I stopped eating all gasy foods and it helped. Age helped too . The older she got the better she got. I remember staying up all night with Sarah too. I found the only thing that helped her was to put her stomach side down on my lap and rock her.

I am SOOOO glad I'm not pregnant

She gets generally fussy too, but you should see her after she eats without it. She just screams and screams. It's horrible.
