I wanted to share this great blog I found recently: "TEACHING KIDS THE HOLY QURAN: using toys to make learning fun" Teaching Kids the Holy Quran
The author recreates chapters from the Qur'an using legos, photographs them, and adds text (including quotes from the Qur'an) and speech bubbles, sort of like a comic book
I thought this was a brilliant idea and very different from most of the islamic kids stuff I have seen. I would love to get it in book format when it's finished, actually, to more easily share with young children! I could see it being a book 'series.'
What do you think of the idea? What tools do you use for teaching your kids about the Qur'an, or what sorts of learning tools would you like to see?
we implamented nightly prayers a long time ago, the kids rehearse 3 surahs each night and we talk about Eids and search as they come up.. i also have books on Islam that we use during homeschool.. our newest way is through apps they are fun and interactive for the kids.
Thank you Heather(hettyhoo) for my beautiful siggy
