I'll have to add my pics when I get home. I just had my first ultrasound and I really need to vent/whine. First the good news: they saw two heartbeats The not so nice news: the doc who did the scan called the first one she saw and scanned "successful" but the second one "misshapen" and told me at the end that if I can't keep anything down or my urine is not clear to call them right away day or night.
It's like she's saying she doesn't think the second one will make it When I questioned her at the end about saying the second one is misshapen she kind of backtracked and said it's still very early to say one way or the other and since she did see a strong heartbeat for both and they're measuring where they're supposed to things look good but I can't stop thinking about her calling one successful while the other was called misshapen. I think maybe she didn't see the second one initially so she thought only one made it at first but it still annoys and upsets me. DH is telling me not to place so much emphasis on what was said but it really bothers me. I go back next week for another ultrasound but I'll be worried about emby #2 until then
ETA: the doc was saying that the gestational sac was misshapen, not the embryo, just wanted to make that clear.

Yay for two good heartbeats... Hopefully the doc just stuck her foot in her mouth and everything will look great on your next scan.
And yay for the DDC's first twins!!
Thanks! Yeah I'm thinking she may have just stuck her foot in her mouth initially since she kinda corrected herself and when I said that she was making me worried about the second sac being misshapen she tried to make me feel better. But then she emphasized calling if I had miscarriage symptoms
