I went to OB last fri because of back pain. Had urine sent, they told me they'd call if it was positive. I should know better as a nurse myself to follow up regardless. They called me today, 6 days later to tell me I have uti and called in antibiotics. Someone dropped the ball, no wonder my back pain is not better.ugggg! And of course im' stuck at work for 2 hours and can't getprescription today.

Oops 12 hours

UTI's if left untreated can be dangerous. I'd be writing a formal complaint. Seriously, that is inexcusable coming from a NURSE.

Thaks for listening ladies!! I had my husband pick up my prescription so I could take when I got home last night. I called my ob office yesterday and s/w doc and tell them how upset I was, i'm waiting to hear back. I pray that the antibiotics will do the trick and clear it up. I had a co-worker who lost a baby at 16 wks because of sepsis after uti developed into pylonephritis. That should never happen to anyone!

Everytime I've ever been tested for UTI they've told me same day...like while I was still in the office whether it was pos/neg. 6 DAYS IS RIDICULOUS!! I would def give them a piece of my mind
