I did a lot of research on prenatals before we started TTC because last time my generic vitamin constipated me big time! I found out some of the prenatals have too much of certain vitamins like vitamin A that can harm your baby. I decided on Mega Food Baby and Me Herb Free because the iron is easily digestable and it didn't go overboard on the amounts. I also take Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA, its derived from sardines and anchovies, and it has Vit D. It's recommended by the American Pregnancy Association.
I take cheapy walmart ones for now. My dr is supposed to call some in because they make my stomach upset and now I am heading to the kitchen to see if they have enough folic acid and no fish oil. Im sooo paranoid this pregnancy.
My prenatal don't say they contain fish oil but they say they contain fish (cod, pollock,haddock,hake,cusk,redfish,sole,flounder) Do you all think thats ok? Im a bit nervous now...
I seriously suck at taking prenatals. I took some while pregnant with each kid and eventually stopped because I would forget. I haven't taken any yet, my worry is that you should be taking them right away and I'm already 5 and a half weeks and haven't started yet. I will pick some up today.
