Another kid? I think I saw a couple mention it. My youngest is still nursing. Do you plan on weaning whipe pregnant or are you hoping to tandem? My oldest weaned at about 15 months halfway through my pregnancy with his brother. I don't see myself as a tandem nurser and this guy will be two next month. Hoping he weans soon on his own because of the pregnancy.
Still nursing here! We don't nurse a whole lot right now - mostly is just morning, bedtime, and naptime. I don't see myself as a tandem nurser either. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do because DS doesn't seem to have any interest in weaning on his own. I'm thinking that after his 2nd birthday I might try to wean him, but I'm such a softie...I know I'll probably give in if he fusses enough. I've thought about trying the lemon trick.
Yeah my guy is pretty attached too... His brother nursed much less mid pregnancy last time though and I encouraged him to wean and he did. I felt super guilty though because I don't think he was totally ready... He still at 3.5 will rest his head on my chest and say "nurse nurse nurse" and get mad if he has to move. Especially so his brother can nurse. Neither of them ever latched onto comfort objects. I think I am their comfort :/ *sigh* Really hoping Nolan just surprises me...
I am still nursing here. Trying like crazy to night wean and it is NOT going well. I plan to tandem nurse if DS doesn't self wean before that. I just hope I can keep up with all the extra calories I need to make milk AND be pregnant!!

I am still nursing my 17 month old. I may be the only one, but I am hoping he doesn't wean during my pregnancy. I am not ready to give up nursing, because I love it, despite really sore nipples. I happen to tandem nurse too.
Lemon trick? Do you put a lemon in your bra or something to make it taste yucky? just curious!
LOL! Yeah, pretty much...you just rub some lemon on your nipples just before they nurse, and supposedly, it makes the milk taste bad so they don't want it. I don't speak from experience though...this is just something I read. The downside is that they wean fairly abruptly (which I don't really want).
I, too, have a comfort nurser. And we co-sleep so that probably doesn't help either. Graham never warmed up to a comfort object, even when we encouraged it.
Kieran is still nursing as well. I don't have plans to encourage weaning either in the pregnancy or after. I don't mind the idea of tandem nursing. I won't mind if he decides to stop either. Whenever he wants is fine. I enjoy the bonding time, but if he feels ready to stop, I am okay with it. I don't foresee him stopping anytime soon, he is fairly attached (and just under a year, so he is still baby like).
I'm still nursing my 20 month old. He's down to about three times a day, sometimes only 2. I don't plan on weaning him and wouldn't be opposed to tandem nursing. I do suspect that he will wean on his own during this pregnancy though as I don't see him being patient enough to deal with my milk supply getting lower as it progresses.
