I made a green and black and white one for my son. This time I'm going to go with yellow, grey, and purple or baby blue.

And I have no idea how to post pics!

Beautiful!! Love it! I'm gonna quilt one as soon as we know the gender.

I love that! I'm not good at making stuff like that, wish I was. My great grandma tried to teach me when I was younger. Now I'm kicking myself for not learning.

Awesome! I tried to teach myself how to knit & crochet. It didn't go very well. I'm jealous of your talent!
Can't wait to see the finished product!!!

As a nerd in junior high, I taught myself to crochet. I can't make anything but blankets and scarves, but they are useful! I'm thinking about trying to make a few for this winter to take to my local hospital to give to newborns. I'm really wanting to do more for my community.

I so wish I could crochet. When Alexis was 2 weeks old and in the hospital we were given a blanket that someone crocheted. It meant so much and I love having it.

So pretty! I can't wait to find out what we are having so I can start making cute things and decorating. In the meantime, I am getting to go visit a friend this weekend that is about 20 weeks and they should be finding out what they are having this week, so I will get to make at least one blanket to tide me over hehe.

That looks beautiful! Will you wait till you know the gender before choosing the final color selection or just make it neutral?
I can knit and crochet but I want to wait till I know the baby's sex before I do anything. I'd hate to go all pink and then find out it's a boy!

I'm going to wait to find out the gender, but yellow, grey, and white are very gender neutral...

You girls are so very talented. I wish I had such skills.

I love the color combo of yellow, grey and white. Very cute!

That is amazing! My mom does the crocheting/knitting, and despite my love of all things crafty, I've never been able to get the hang of it. I love the color combo of yellow, gray, and white as well!

For the record, my baby blanket was blue and white...and I slept with it until a few months ago, when DH was about to throw it away. So, like any mature adult would do, I had my mom make me another one (but in brown and green and ivory, the colors of our bedroom). I use it as neck support.

That blanket is beautiful! My mom crochets afghans for all of her grandkids so I will probably only be making hats and booties. I already got one little cap knitted. It was actually my second ever knitting project (first was a wash cloth ) The problem is that since we won't be finding out the baby's sex until birth, I'll have to double up on the things I make, one for boy, one for girl. I figure that I can then just donate what I won't need to the hospital.

But, please, show us some pictures when you are done with your project!

I loved crocheted stuff, my grammy and aunts and my SOs mom and my grandma always knit things for our babies so we are really looking forward to it for this new baby!

I love it! My sister is crazy talented with sewing, knitting and all that. I didn't get that gene.

I can't wait to see it when you are done, and I love the colors you picked out

I am lurking from the April DDC. That blanket is beautiful. Do you have a pattern for it, or could you tell me where I might find it?
