I went to the ER last night bc I was convinced my nausea and vomiting was getting too extreme. Luckily my vitals all looked great and they just sent me how with Zofran to try instead of the Phenergan. The zofran has worked wonders but the sleepy side effect from Phenergan was still wearing off. I laid down to take a nap and when I woke up I was drenched in sweat, I couldn't catch my breath and I thought I was going to vomit... I could barely talk to DH to tell him what was wrong. He called the on call doctor for me and she said that my blood sugar must be way low and told me to eat some jello and drink some Gatorade even tho that was the last thing I wanted to do... Fixed me right up!!! Man was it scary though, I was terrified.

That's scary. Sorry you went through that. Did the Zofran cause the low blood sugar? Or was it bc you hadn't eaten in a while?

Wow! Sorry you had to deal with that! Glad it was a quick fix though!

I have problems like that when I'm pregnant. When I got out of the shower yesterday I had to sit down and have DH get me some juice. It's not the first time it's happened either.

I've found that it's worse when I get out of the shower, even if the water isn't super hot.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! I know it can be so scary. Glad DH was there for you.

Low blood sugar is so scary! I have to take insulin while pregnant and have had a few bouts of it. I have a glucose pen (injection) in the case of an emergency now that I have on me all the time and OH knows how to use in the case I'm completely out of it. I hope you don't have to go through that again!

Thanks ladies! Ya it was so scary... Do not want to go through that again.

Also no it was not the zofran. It wasn't until I was with it again that I realized all I had eaten that day was a pop tart... I had just been feeling so yucky and had been sleeping a lot and the baby was just telling me "hey! I need some food in here!!!" Lol

Uh oh!!! I'm glad you're alright though!

Too bad jello doesn't fix everything like that?

This has happened to me too. It's super scary right? So glad jello did the trick for you! All the ladies here told me to keep up with the snacking during the day even if I don't feel like eating a ton and so far so good. Glad you're ok!

That is super scary! I'm glad it was a quick and easy fix. That is awesome that the doc was able to diagnose you over the phone and get you feeling better quickly. If only everything was that easy to fix.
