My mom and best friend will be throwing me one. Probably toward late March. My principal will also be throwing me one at work. She is awesome. I am so excited

This is one of the things I hate about being a military wife. My neighbor wants to throw me a shower, and I'm going to let her because there is stuff we need, but we've only lived here a year and I don't have many close friends locally. Trying to come up with a reasonable guest list makes me feel lonely and sad

My coworker/friend is hosting my shower. My mil may throw me one too, but that would mainly be her friends. I have a small group of friends plus with family maybe 20 people will be at my shower at most. I plan to have it sometime in March. I have noticed in the other DDC lots of ladies are giving birth 3-4 weeks early so figured better safe than sorry.
I told my friend some suggestions for games becasue overall I do not like games and prefer as few as possible. I also told her that there needs to be alcohol (my single/childless friends will be more likely to come ). My husband works for a beer distr. so I can usually get a wide range of stuff. Any baby shower I have ever been to has been dull. I want mine to be full of laughter. One game we may play is porno face (guess if the woman is getting waxed, giving birth, or making a porno) so that should get some laughs out of the crowd. My grandma is 91 and lives in another state so I don't have to worry about offending anyone if we do this. My mom has a good sense of humor.

Nothing for me. Did not have one with my DD either. But mostly because I don't really have family or close friends here in the US. Would have been nice to experience it though.. we don't have such a thing in my culture (for us, it's usually when baby is born, people come to meet the baby and bring whatever they want, it's "rude" to tell people what you want or to have a registry

We won't be having one. DD was born two years ago today and I still have all my stuff from her. There is nothing we need except diapers. We might do a meet & greet after she is born but I don't think there will be any other shower.

I had 4 with DD and loved them all so I hope all you ladies having them enjoy it!

My friend insists on throwing me a shower, and I'm not going to say no. Even though this is my third baby, by daughter will be 7 by the time Morgan gets here and I have nothing left for little girls except a few outfits I saved. My son will be 5 when she gets here too and I don't have any of his stuff left over either. We have the crib and plan on buying the other 'big' stuff ourselves with tax refund money, but I can and will take anything else I'm given and be thankful. I've been stocking up on clothes through consignment sales and craigslist so she already has a pretty extensive wardrobe...LOL.

My mom is throwing me one on April 9th. I was very surprised about that. It will be at her house and be very simple but I'm sure a lot of people will come because her friends are our friends and they all just like to socialize. It will be great to get some help for our baby boy because I was scared he was going to be naked for the first yr

I know i'll most likely be having one because i'm having a girl! But we do it a month after the baby is born and it's more of a "meet the baby" party. I think my step mom might do it since she did the last one.
