Joy and Kary you ladies are so sweet.

I have actually tried everything. I kept track of my calories and i made sure i was eating every 2 hours and taking in about 2500 calories a day. I did this for 2 weeks. It felt like a full time job. Even with all that i still lost 2 lbs. I told the doctor i give up on the eating thing. She agreed that as long as little Clara is growing then she will let me eat as i can.

I will definatly try some of your tips since they seem so easy to fit into my day. On the plus side i finaly had someone i dont know really well ask me if im pregnant! Finaly starting to show!

That's great Beth! Yes, it's easy to add cheese and peanut butter to your crackers...and there's extra protein too! And use whole milk!

Besides strawberries I'm pretty good with the rest, but I have to buy them at farmers markets only because with all my good problems the last thing I want is chemicals on top. No veggie problems...I eat them all except lettuce (because of IBS)
After we found out I was pregnant I became lactose intolerant also, and I've been allergic to artificial sweeteners my entire life. Crazy stuff.
BTW~ I'm so not complaining it just my bonkers system.

Beth--OK, I kinda figured you had tried it all. But I couldn't help myself in making suggestions. Chalk it up to the nurturing instinct!
I'm really happy for you that you didn't lose any weight this last time. I know that was a big accomplishment for you. And starting to show--woot!

this is fascinating! i asked about veggies because a lot of "culinary" vegetables (bell peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, squash) are, botanically, fruits. and i think you're better off being allergic to artificial sweeteners

one of my best friends is allergic to alcohol. her whole family got tested after her brother almost died from anaphylactic shock at a party in high school; her allergy is apparently even more severe than her brother's (based on the test). she was young enough when she found out that she's never had any kind of alcohol (presumably due to fear of death) so, fortunately, it doesn't put a damper on her life.

I swear I am only safe with grapes and bananas which I do eat.
I've got all kinds of allergies too. I'm with you! Apples, fresh peaches (I dunno why, but I can eat canned and cooked... I think it has something to do with pollen), pears, plums... Thankfully, I'm not deathly-allergic to most of those things (except apples), so every now and then, I'll try a bite and see (with benedryl on hand!).

I wish I wanted to eat. I just don't have urge and I'm overweight to begin with so I don't need to gain hardly anything. I'm sure in my last trimester, I'll become ravenous like I was with DS.

Im big on cheese.

Breakfast- usually an egg and cheese on wheat bread w/tea or milk, or cereal like cheerios
Lunch- most of the time cheese sandwiches with red hots : ) with chips or pretzels and some kind of fruit
dinner- chicken mostly with some sort of starch and salad

i know...pretty boring!
