Disneyland?!?! LOL Let's hope not

I would consider a home birth if I didn't have medical complications like I do, and if I hadn't had such a scary miscarriage last year. I could have bled to death if it weren't for an observant hubby who is an EMT. With a couple other things, this makes me pretty keen to birth at a hospital. But I want to do a water birth! I think it should work out. We'll see how it all goes!

I would love to deliver at a birthing center but i have to deliver at a high risk hospital with a NICU. My hospital is really good about making you more comfortable and letting you make the decisions. I had a great experience delivering my second baby. The doctor was so supportive.

since we're with my dad temporarily, there will definitely be no home birth for us (a home birth in someone else's home? no thanks) but i'm torn between a hospital and birthing center. the one BC i'm interested in is right in the hospital/medical district and is, obviously, staffed with nurses, and they offer water births, which is something i'd really like to do. but that's the only reason i'd choose it over the hospital, which has a good reputation for honoring birth plans and supporting natural births. i'll talk with my OB (once i have one) and probably figure out more from there.

There are no birth centres close enough, and we are 15 min. too far for my midwife to be comfortable with a home birth (I also don't feel it is responsible because we are 1 hour from the hospital)

We will have a hospital birth with a midwife. I'm ok with that given our circumstances, but I can honestly say it's not my first choice!

I voted hospital but only because I don't have a choice this time. There is no birthing centre nearby and I was unable to get a midwife so no more home birth for me.

Definitely hospital. This is my first one so I really want to make sure that I am as close to the doctors and medical equipment as I can be! Plus, I am completely anticipating the need of a epi.

Although I tried to have a home birth, I am not qualified for some medical reasons and therefore, I will be delivering in a hospital. I am okay with it, since I did make the effort to try to have a home birth. We don't have a birthing center close, but I doubt they would be comfortable having me there for the same reasons that risk me out of a home birth.

This will be number 10 in our 3rd different hospital. A couple were close to being born in the van, but all made it to the hospital.

We'll be in our new home by the time Brock arrives(knock on wood). We are planning on a scheduled induction but if not we will be driving into the city at god knows what time and that keeps me up at night. I have an emergency plan "B" to go to the hospital righ across the street from my new house of it can't be helped.
