As soon as my ms passed, this began--anytime I eat something with sugar in it, I get nauseas within 20 minutes. I have such a sweet tooth, but have really stayed away from all things sweet because it's just not worth it. I wonder why this is happening? I thought for sure I'd fail my glucose test for some reason and that my ob would tell me I had gestational diabetes, which would perhaps explain it, but alas, I passed. Anyone else have this happen to them? Just curious...
That's so sad You might try haagen dazs vanilla ice cream... it has less sugar and more fat than most ice creams... Anyway, gaining weight is super easy without lots of sugar, you just need more fats. I've been on a huge avocado and butter on toast kick lately...
What about other carbohydrates? Breads, pasta, oatmeal, etc??
I have had the exact same thing! Even when I had terrible MS it was made much worse by sugary foods. I can eat a little bit of sugar now and anything with natural sugar like fruit etc is fine but if I eat cake, chocolate etc then I feel horrible... nothing like the first trimester but still horrible. I find the more healthy I eat the better I feel. Suppose its a good thing!
