I've had some random pains in my tummy area but I'm not sure exactly what they are. Sometimes it's a sudden pinching feeling when I laugh or cough, so I don't think those are contractions. But there have been a few times where my stomach feels like it's tightening up and is somewhat painful, but it'll only happen once and go away. Anybody else have these sensations?

That does sound like BH to me. The ones where you laugh or cough are probably round ligament pains, I get those when I stand up real fast. BH can be somewhat painful, but so long as they're not regular, they're not true contractions.

The BH's that I have had are like a tightening of the uterus. They can be pretty low but I haven't had any pain but a little discomfort.

Like Joy said, I think the tightening sounds like BH. I get them a lot after i use the bathroom. They are uncomfortable but not painful. The real contractions are painful.

I don't remember feeling any BH at all with DD. I've been having lots this time. I'm hoping it means that my body knows better what to do this time so L&D will go smoother.

Ok good to know. This is my first little one so I don't really know what to expect. When I get the crampy feeling, there isn't really pain just general discomfort. And what are the ligament pains?

when I had round ligament pain, it was a sharp pain in my side that didn't seem to get better. It scared the crap out of me and I went straight to the doctor asking *** was that? It didn't get better if I laid down, drank water, changed positions, nothing.

All about round ligament pain here: Round Ligament Pain During Pregnancy: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

In short: there are ligaments that support your uterus (running from your groin) during pregnancy and as they stretch (because you're, like, growing) they can get strained easily, especially during quick/sudden movements (sneezing, coughing, laughing, sitting up, etc)

Scares me that i'm getting them hundreds of times a day and ya'll are getting them sporadically!

Bri- they feel like your belly tightens up for a small amount of time and then it releases. Sometimes they hurt and sometimes they don't. For me, when I get them and I'm waking they really slow me down, hurt, and make me feel like I have to pee... sometimes they hurt my back too but that's just me. I'm not getting enough sleep and am dealing with dehydration although gatorade is really helping with that!

Nancy, I get them all the time too, several times a day, but they just don't hurt so I don't complain about it
I have many times where my belly is super tight and it feels like Baby has his head right down on top of my cervix.

I also get BH fairly often throughout the day. They are not sore but are quite uncomfortable and get are getting more so the closer I get to due date. When I have then my whole stomach area gets super, super tight and I can feel the hard parts where the baby is lying.

That's pretty much what I described to a friend of mine so I think BH is the culprit.
