I like Elise best. I'm one for sort of the tried-and-true, old-fashioned kind of names, and Elise just sounds like something reminiscent of sweet days gone by. In a good way, not an old-lady way
It just sounds sweet and innocent to me.

I'm a toss up between Emily and Alexis. Alexis was the name I had picked out for my future daughter since I was like 10. Alexis Dawn. Then a couple of years ago I just knew I was never having kids and had just gotten a dog and so I named her Lexi. Now that I'm having a daughter I couldn't very well name her after the dog. I mean I could but try explaining that one in therapy. Emily I just think is a simple easy going name. I will say it's pretty popular though. My stepdaughter has 3 Emily's in her class, all spelled differently.

I like Elise best. It's actually a name we were considering. I think it's classic, not super common, and has a pleasant sound when spoken.

I also like Elise. I dont know why I just like the way it sounds. I would probably end up calling her Ellie. I just think that is so cute.

Alexis. That name is actually one on our short list for if we have a girl. I really liked it until I started to associate it with the car Lexus! DH didn't like it at first but now he does and since we aren't doing very well with choosing a girl name, I am trying to get past my car association. Plus, I love the nickname Lexy!

Skye! It was always on my short list for girls and would probably be her name if it wasn't for DH wanting a traditional J name - and DS still wanting her to be named Sophia! I like Skye because DH and I were skydivers and me a pilot so we have a love of the sky

I like Skye. If you ever get the chance to visit Scotland (you never know !!) and see the Isle of Skye you can see why people name their children for it. It can be perfectly beautiful there on a warm Summer's day.

I like all the other names too except for Elise which leaves me wanting....for me its not a strong, remember me name

LOL...and I dont think we have helped you much! We are pretty much split. Maybe when she gets here you can look at her and just know right away. Maybe try and narrow it down to just 2 choices?

Skye or Elise. I love the name Alexis, but so many people seem to give their daughters this name.

I think I've eliminated Emily...it feels a little too common and formal for me.

I like Elise best because its not very common but still beautiful and a but unique as you don't hear it everyday. Emily is too common for my taste, Alexis is pretty but trendy right now and Skye is just not my style.
